The Active Multicontour Seats for driver and front passenger feature independently controllable air chambers that can be adjusted to the individual physiognomic needs.

The side bolsters of the seat adjust automatically and dynamically to the driving conditions. Seat cushion length, seat side bolsters and lumbar support can be adjusted pneumatically. Additional comfort is provided by a dynamic massage function in seven zones. This is one of many reasons why the Active Multicontour Seats were awarded the quality seal by the "Aktion gesunder Rücken e. V." ("Campaign for healthy backs"), which is awarded to products that are particularly "back friendly".

THERMATIC automatic climate control delivers individual temperatures and a pleasant climate in the vehicle interior.

The preferred temperature and air distribution for the left and right-hand sides of the interior can be regulated separately for two zones. In addition, a special filter ensures high air quality by absorbing dust particles from the outside air.

The THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control system allows the driver and front passenger to adapt the climate in their respective seats to suit their individual requirements – independently of each other. The system keeps the temperature at the desired level automatically, even in strong sunlight.

To this end, sensors register the temperature inside and outside the vehicle, controlling the heating, cooling and fan for each temperature zone individually as required.

The load compartment management system EASY-PACK kit consists of the EASY-PACK load rails and the EASY-PACK rear sill protector. These features ensure that the load can be safely secured and increase the protection against damages from loading and unloading.

A telescopic rod and load compartment rails allow dividing the load compartment into variable sections. And roller lashing straps also make it possible to secure objects to the sides.

In this way the EASY-PACK kit load compartment management system provides order in the load compartment. When loading and unloading the boot, the EASY-PACK rear sill protector included in this package can be placed over the bumper. As a result the loading area is protected to a large extent from scratches and damage.

With the Memory package the driver’s and front-passenger seat, steering column and exterior mirrors can be adjusted electrically to any position. This increases convenience when there is a frequent change of drivers. The individual settings for the driver's seat, the steering column and the exterior mirrors can be stored for up to three people . In addition, the package features 4-way lumbar support for the driver and front passenger. The front-passenger mirror swivels automatically downwards when reverse is engaged (parking position).

As soon as a driver selects a setting with the touch of a button, electric controls automatically set the seat, exterior mirrors and steering column back to the previously saved positions. Furthermore, if the PRE-SAFE® system is activated, the front passenger seat can be moved automatically into a more favourable crash position. If there is no collision, the seat is returned to its original position once the vehicle falls below critical thresholds.

In conjunction with the optional Active Multicontour Seats the PRE-SAFE® positioning function can spring into action: If the system detects a critical driving situation, the side bolsters of the seat cushion and the backrest are inflated to laterally secure driver and front passenger in place.

The panoramic sliding sunroof consists of a fixed panoramic glass roof and an electrically operated glass sunroof that slides over the exterior of the roof. The large window panes with optimised net wind deflector provide the best possible light/visibility and a more generous sense of space from all the seats.

The sliding glass sunroof increases draught-free air circulation in the interior and counteracts the tendency of the windows to mist up in unfavourable weather conditions. With the wind deflector, driving at a high speed with an open roof causes neither excessive noise nor draughts. Thanks to a newly developed function, the automatic opening and closing can take it to the position which was selected last.

The sliding sunroof is operated by the multifunction switch in the overhead control panel. When the multifunction switch in the overhead control panel is moved beyond a pressure point in the appropriate direction and released, the sliding sunroof automatically moves to the respective final position (e.g. tilting, opening, closing).

When locking the vehicle with the remote control or when using KEYLESS GO with the door lock elements, the sliding sunroof can be closed by pressing and holding the locking button. If the button is released, the closing procedure stops. The "summer opening" function can be activated via the electronic key, which also activates the seat ventilation feature of the climatised seat (if this feature is present) on the driver's side.

In conjunction with the rain sensor the continuously variable control of the wiper speed is extended to include the function "automatic closing of the sliding sunroof in the rain". With the onset of rain or in extreme temperatures, the sliding sunroof is automatically moved to the tilt position.

The climatised seats improve ride comfort on longer trips and reduce perspiration thanks to a pleasant air flow and selectable seat heating. Fans integrated in the seat upholstery uniformly distribute a flow of air in three intensity levels under the leather backrest and cushion covers.

The air flows through the fine perforation and quickly cools down the surface of the seats to a pleasant temperature – even if the vehicle has been heated by an intense amount of sunlight for a longer period of time. On cold days you can turn on the three-level adjustable seat heating, which guarantees together with the air flow that wet clothes dry faster.
