The BlueEFFICIENCY models of the C-Class Saloon

There are a number of BlueEFFICIENCY models available for the C-Class, equipped with environmentally friendly technologies and comprehensive special measures.

Efficiency technologies in the C-Class Saloon

The latest-generation CDI diesel engines display compelling performance characteristics coupled with low consumption levels. Injection pressure has been increased, smoothness of operation enhanced and noise levels optimised, while reduced compression makes for lower emission levels.

Direct injection, increased compression and turbocharging in the new CGI engines enable top torque, output and noise reduction figures. Innovative engine technology makes it possible to significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption compared with previous models.

Packages of measures in the C-Class Saloon

All the E-Class BlueEFFICIENCY models are equipped with numerous different features according to the type of fuel used and engine fitted. These are, for instance:
